The Standard Course of Study contains information abut the CTE courses and is designed to help local school systems plan and implement their CTE program.

  • Course Blueprints and Curriculum Guides

Course Blueprints and Curriculum Guides can be found at the  CTE Course Resources page.

  • Revised Bloom's Taxonomy (RBT)

All of our curriculum is being remapped to Revised Bloom's Taxonomy (RBT). We've already begun to revise program area curriculum guides, pacing guides, and test banks utilizing this process.

Dr. Lorin Anderson, the guru of Revised Bloom's Taxonomy (RBT) created the following PowerPoint presentations just for us.

Motivating the Unmotivated: Alternatives to Simply Killing Them (PPT 148 KB)

The Concept of Flow and Its Educational Applications (PPT 608 KB)

Unpacking the Field Test Year

  • Course Equipment Lists

Some general equipment is needed for all CTE programs. Additional equipment is needed to teach specific CTE courses.

Information about the equipment needed can be found in the North Carolina Career and Technical Education Equipment Guide, which can be downloaded from the NC DPI Equipment Guide web page.
