To nurture honorable, committed lifelong learners who self-advocate to become college and career ready.

Our Vision:
We will excel in academics and develop innovative 21st Century leaders.

Our Program:
Wilmington Early College High School was established through a partnership between New Hanover County Schools and Cape Fear Community College to provide students with an opportunity to earn an Associate's Degree along with their high school diploma. WECHS is a four-five year program where students engage in a rigorous academic curriculum of honors and college-level coursework. Many students will be enrolled in a CFCC course by the spring of their sophomore year. Our expectation is that all of our students will graduate with both their Associate's and their diploma, making our program truly "A Degree Above."
