Principal's Message
Robin Hamilton - August 30, 2009

Robin Hamilton

Dear Parsley Students and Parents,

Welcome back to Parsley for the 2009-2010 school year. Being the principal at Parsley is very rewarding!  I bring ten years of school administration experience, and have a true passion for all that encompasses the role of the principalship. My years of experience have taught me that leadership works best when shared, and that schools should be student centered and data driven.

Parsley enjoys a strong, professional staff that works diligently every day challenging students to extend their academic and social learning. Another component to Parsley’s success is our active and supportive Parent Teacher Association. Parsley’s environment is truly a collaborative place where every one works together to continue the treasured traditions that make Parsley such an awesome place for children, while moving our children and our school towards continued success.

Students, the most important thing to me is that you grow academically in a happy, safe, loving, and nurturing environment. We will work together to ensure that you are well prepared for bright and successful futures.

I look forward to another successful year at Parsley! Please do not hesitate to contact the office if I can be of any assistance to you.

Sincerely,

Robin Hamilton, Ed.S.

Coffee With the Principal

The first Coffee With the Principal was held Wednesday, Sept. 30 for parents of students in grades 3-5.

Mrs. Hamilton explains EOG reportCoffee With the PrincipalMrs. Hamilton reviewed grades 3-5 test results for the 2008-2009 school year.  She shared what we did last year that contributed to our success as well as what we are doing this school year that will enable us to continue to grow as we meet the needs of each individual student.  Mrs. Hamilton described programs and tools teachers use such as ClassScape, Words Their Way, and Reading Power. A sample student EOG report was reviewed so parents would have a better understanding of the information that is sent home at the end of the school year.  Review her PowerPoint for more information about scores and details about some of this year's programs.
