• Treasurer's Report: Fall Festival's total was $11,047.57.  We earned $160 from Chick-fil-A Night.  $49 from Learning Express.
• Officer's Reports:
  • Fund Raising - Parsley Pride is our main fund raiser.   So far, we have collected $7335; our goal is $7500. 
    Fall Festival
  • Special Events - Bingo Night is February 26 from 6-8pm.  We will have a Sea Dawg's night in May.
  • Membership - We have 387 members as of Dec. 14.  We need 13 more memberships to meet our 2009-2010 school year goal of 400 members.  Thank you for joining;  your membership shows your support of our school.
  • PTA County Council Representative -There is a meeting in January.
• Committee Report
• Walking Club - Walking Club is going well.  Trot NIxon will be a guest walker after the holidays.
• Book Fair - The spring book fair will be March 15 to 19. 
• Volunteer Coordinator - No report this month.
• Hospitality - The Hospitality Committee will provide a dessert treat for the staff on Dec. 16.
• Yearbook - "We Are Wild About Learning" is the jungle theme for the yearbook. Order forms have been sent home.   If you are taking pictures of school events, please email some to the yearbook committee.
• Student Directory - No report this month.
• Patriot Post - Please email your articles to Suzanne Hamilton: shamilton9@ec.rr.com.  Email consent forms were sent home asking parents to sign up for a digital copy of the newsletter (and other PTA notices).   December deadline is Dec. 18.
• Fifth Grade Recognition - no report this month.
• Teacher Appreciation - needs a committee.
• Battle of the Books - Battle of the Books will be on March 23 and 24.
• Grounds Beautification - Artificial plants will be placed by sign on the road.  Real flowers do not do well in that area due to soil conditions and lack of irrigation.  
• Apparel & Accessories -  no report this month
• Boxtops & Tyson A+ - no report this month
• Reflections - We set a new Parsley record with 181 entries from 119 students.  Winners advancing to the state level competition will be announced in January.
• Cultural Events - Bright Star Touring Company was here Nov. 23 with a program each for K-2 and 3-5.
• Principal's Report - Mrs. Suggs reviewed school fundraising guidelines from the audit.
• Teacher Representative's Report - No report this month.
• Old Business
• Dining With Dads is Feb. 4 for students in grades 3-5 and Feb. 11 for students in grades K-2.  There will be a set price for meals for adults.  Dads may come eat breakfast or lunch.
• New Business
  • Beginning next school year, all NHCS PTAs must have a website independent of the school website.  Suzanne Hamilton will attend PTA website training with Mrs. Rizzo in January.
  • Barb Caropolo is the Nominating Committee contact.
