A Sweet Batch of Kindergarteners

Kindergarteners perform   Kindergarteners sing

After the PTA General Membership Meeting, Kindergartners performed "A Sweet Batch of Kindergarteners".  Written by music teacher, Ms. Baker, this holiday performance reold the story The Gingerbread Man by Jim Aylesowrth.  These photos were taken at their dress rehearsal.  One of their songs will be played on channel 5, TLN for the NHCS Holiday Show during Winter Break.

Mrs. Cuesta's class

Third grade students in Mrs. Cuesta's class sang a variety of holiday songs for Parsley Today.

On the last day before Winter Break, students in first grade participated in a variety of activities in celebration of the holidays. The students had been doing a book study on The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. An example of some of the activities held in the classrooms included readers' theater performances, the sharing of a Kid Pix slide show of student made illustrations, the making of ornaments, guessing the holiday smells, and the coloring of holiday pictures.  Many classes also made hot chocolate and had treats as they watched the movie together.  Being able to come to school in their pajamas made the event even more fun.  What a fun way to begin winter break!

making cookie tree

Students in Mrs. Perrone's 4th grade were able to make a very special Christmas tree out of cookies! After many, many hours of baking, the hundreds of cookies were brought to school and each student then constructed a tree stacking cookies and then decorating it with icing and candies.
