Immediate demand of home - Absence is lawful when it is demonstrated to the satisfaction of the principal that the demands of the home, due to sickness or other causes, are such to require the assistance of the student and when it is apparent that the immediate assistance is not otherwise available in the home and cannot be secured.

Approval for #7 and #8 must be granted by the principal prior to the absence.  A written request must be submitted o the principle at least five (5) school days in advance.  Approval must be acquired in advance of the absence in order for proper arrangements to be made.  Absences for items #7 and #8 which do not have prior written approval by the principal at least five school days in advance will be unexcused.
TARDINESS
Children arriving at their classroom after 8:00 AM (when school begins) are tardy.  Students arriving after 8:00 AM should report to the office before going to class.  Excessive tardiness will be reported to the attendance counselor.  Any student arriving tardy needs to be signed in by a parent or guardian.
EARLY DISMISSAL
If you should need to pick up your child early for any reason, please come to the office first to sign out your child(ren).  If possible, send a note to the teacher stating the date, time, and reason for early dismissal.  The teacher will not release your child without approval from the office.  Proper identification is required so please be prepared to show your identification when you come to the office.  This procedure is for your child's protection. Early dismissal cannot be accomodated after 2:00 pm.

WITHDRAWL FROM SCHOOL
If you are moving or withdrawing your child from school, please call or notify us in writing a few days prior to the child's last day.  This will allow ample time to complete necessary paper work.
PEERFECT ATTENDANCE
Perfect Attendance is awarded at the end of each grading period to students who have been present every school day.
