Erin Bufford
Assistant Principal

My name is Deborah Greenwood and I am very excited to be the Principal of Forest Hills. The building is so beautiful; with a rich history. It is an honor to be a part of the future of Forest Hills, as well as adding to the history.
What makes schools a special place for children to learn and grow are the adults that share their passion for education with them each day.
I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and hearing your thoughts about Forest Hills celebrations and challenges that we will be working through on our journey together.
To help ease the transition, let me share a few things about me. Simply put, I fell in love with school in Kindergarten and haven’t looked back. My career has included 19 years as an elementary classroom teacher,
15 years as an administrator (building and central office) and in between taught at the university level. My husband and I have 3 adult daughters, 1 son (in law) and 3 grand pets (2 cats and 1 dog).
Please feel free to contact me by email: deborah.greenwood@nhcs.net , if there are any questions that I can answer or do to support you before August 1.
This is going to be an amazing year and I can’t wait to meet everyone. Enjoy the rest of your summer with lots of fun, relaxation and time with family.

Hello, my name is Erin Bufford.  I am excited about another year as the Assistant Principal at Forest Hills Global Elementary School.  I look forward to learning about Costa Rica with the students and staff over the 2012-2013 school year.  It is my privilege to work with one of the best groups of teachers and students in New Hanover County.
I have been in education for more than 12 years.  I taught English as a Second Language in the Japanese public school system for 3 years, was the Special Populations Coordinator at Laney High School and taught special education at the elementary level in South and North Carolina.
I have two young children, Candace and Caleb and enjoy spending time with my family, reading books with my little ones, playing with technology, taking pictures, and
learning sign language.

I look forward to getting to know each of you over the course of this school year.
