"School of Student Approach"
Edwin A. Alderman is committed to student-directed learning.  Student-led inquiry builds the foundation for the school's mission and shared values.  Learning time is maximized through an enriched curriculum filled with high expectations and guided thought-provoking instruction.  The child-centered approach to learning motivates students to naturally generate questions, experiment cooperatively, and make authentic discoveries.

The Alderman team strives to make learning challenging, exciting, motivating, and meaningful for "all" students.  Alderman's goal is to provide high quality instruction which ensures every child success each day.  Direct Instruction, Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math, Reading Renaissance, Thinking Maps, Write From the Beginning, AIG, and after school enrichment opportunities are just a few of the daily learning opportunities at Alderman.  Students become life-long learners; and, as Alderman Eagles, are ready and prepared to soar to great heights.
